Personal Trainer - Code of Conduct

At Platinum Fitness, we are committed to maintaining a professional and respectful environment for all clients. As a freelance personal trainer (PT) working within our facility, we expect you to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and conduct. 

 

Failure to comply with any of the below guidelines may result in disciplinary action including but not limited to:

  • Serious warnings or Legal action

  • Financial penalties

  • Termination of the Personal Trainer Agreement under its Terms and Conditions

 

The following guidelines outline the expectations for all freelance trainers utilising Platinum Fitness facilities:

 

Respectful Behavior: PTs should treat all staff, clients, members, and fellow trainers with respect, courtesy, and professionalism at all times. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

 

Certifications: All PTs must hold valid and appropriate certifications from recognized fitness organizations.

 

Dress Code: PTs and PT clients should wear appropriate and professional training attire and covered-toe footwear at all times. Platinum Fitness staff members reserve the right to suspend sessions if PTs and/or PT clients fail to comply with the appropriate dress code.

 

Safety: PTs are responsible for ensuring the safety of their clients during all training sessions. Proper usage of equipment and correct exercise techniques should be emphasised to prevent injuries and damage of property.

 

Booking Policy: All PT sessions must be booked using the active PT package credits through the booking app, Glofox, prior to the commencement of each session.

 

Punctuality: All PT sessions are strictly 60 minutes. Platinum Fitness reserves the right to deduct an additional credit if the session exceeds the 15-minute grace period.

 

Utilisation of Gym Equipment: All weights and equipment used must be returned to its designated areas following completed activities and sessions. Refrain from dropping weights and encourage your clients to do the same to protect the gym equipment and flooring.

 

Sharing of Gym Equipment: Sharing of the gym space and equipment is compulsory. Reserving equipment is strictly not permitted. PTs must exercise consideration for other clients when using gym facilities.

 

Utilisation of Common Areas: Personal belongings must be kept in the designated lockers and storage areas. For presentation purposes, please refrain from leaving personal belongings on common seating areas and tables.

 

Access to Front Desk: Access to the front desk is strictly prohibited for PTs. The front desk is not to be used as a seat or seating area. Charging of personal devices at the front desk is permitted only if charging ports are available.

 

Consumption of Food: PTs may utilise Platinum Fitness facilities available to store and prepare food. Food must be consumed at designated seating areas only.

 

Prohibition of Alcohol, Illegal Substances, Smoking, and Vaping: The use of alcohol, illegal substances, smoking, and vaping is strictly prohibited within Platinum Fitness premises.

 

Conflict and Dispute Resolution: Any dispute or conflict with another gym user should be addressed professionally and brought to the attention of Platinum Fitness staff members as soon as possible. Unresolved issues should be directed to Platinum Fitness management for mediation. Personal disputes must not disrupt the gym environment or escalate to unprofessional behavior.
